How to Replace Your
Key Tag's Battery
A banner will appear on your Key Tag screen with it's time to replace the battery. Visit your dealership or follow the steps below to change it.
You will need:

A small tool, such as a key.

A replacement CR2032 battery. These batteries can be purchased at most convenience stores or online.
Step 1: Open the Key Tag
Remove the Key Tag from its clip. Then, insert the tool into the small opening gap at the top of the Key Tag. Press at a slight angle to pop the shell open.
Step 2: Replace the Battery
Remove the old battery and recycle it. Then, insert the new battery with the plus sign facing you.
Step 3: Close and Activate
Close the shell by pushing its two sides together until it clicks. Lastly, hold the Key Tag button until it makes a sound to reactivate it.
CR2032 batteries are a choking hazard. Keep away from children. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.
Test Your New Battery

Open your Key Tag in the Ethos Edge app.

Try playing a sound.
If there are issues, check that the Key Tag battery is correctly oriented and fully charged. Otherwise, contact us.
